2023 Graphic Design Senior Showcase

Digital Showcase Chair: Sara Balsamo
Designers: Carter Benoit-Myer, Emily Gioacchini, Hemani Kapoor, Madelyn Lobb, Peter Neuvelt

In order to celebrate the Drexel Senior Graphic Design Class, a special 2 night event is planned to feature all of the work that the students have made throughout their undergraduate education. This event seeks to provide a celebration for the students and family, as well as bridge a connection to alumni and other designers in the industry. It is very important that the event features a strong brand identity and presence that can be used to advertise the event. Similarly, it is important that the event be equally as accessible online so that those who were not able to attend in person are still able to access student work and portfolios.

On top of building a brand identity and developing elements for and advertising the event, it is important to have an online presence so that people unable to attend are able to access the seniors' work and portfolios. As Chair of the Digital Showcase Committee, I led a team of 5 people to design and develop the website using the brand guidelines given to us. In hosting weekly meetings, troubleshooting with individual members, and reporting to the other chairs members and our lead advisor, it was my job to ensure that the website version of the showcase ran smoothly. In order to develop an online presence, I used programs such as Figma and Webflow to implement the branding into a live website. I collected and organized assets from Senior Class so that their projects, portfolios, and LinkedIns could all be featured on the website for everybody to access.
